6-POT FuLL-MONOCOQUE CALIPER SET FK7, FC2 *NEW*
Approximately one year has elapsed since the tenth generation Civic started to be released. SPOON has repeatedly tested every stage to pursue even higher ranking while taking advantage of the high total balance of Civic, but the most challenging in making a time attack on a circuit run was a car over 1300 kg It was an increase in brake burden due to heaviness.
FK7 HATCHBACK / FC1 SEDAN's genuine brake disk size is Φ 282, 23 mm thick, but in the sports run the temperature of the brake disc exceeds 500°C, the same as the race.
Therefore, at SPOON, we have newly developed for FK7 / FC1 based on the 6 POT monocoque calipers that had been testing and developing at Super Taikyu Series since 2016.
The biggest feature of this "FULL Monoblock Caliper" is its capless design, developed without any compromise in all its structure, performance and durability.
■ Capless Full-Monocoque Body is manufactured with "Angle head processing machine". By adopting this construction method, it became possible to reduce the number of rubber parts, as a result the liquid loss was reduced.
■ The design of a caliper with high rigidity and light weight became possible.
We adopted large diameter dust boots for ultra-thin piston and meet the required specifications even in street or circuit use.
■ Uneven Brake Pad wear was suppressed by optimizing Pad surface pressure by different diameter 6 PISTON design of Φ36 / Φ34 / Φ27.
■ 312mm diameter / 25 mm thick reversed ventilated disk is adopted to greatly suppress brake temperature rise and thermal collapse in sports driving. It also drastically improves the judder resistance and made it possible to sustain a stable brake feel even for continuous laps.
■ For the 6-POT CALIPER you must use SPOON BRAKE ROTOR [FRONT] FOR 6-POT [FK7 MT/CVT, FC1]
