SPOON HEAT BARRIER TAPE

Oil Viscosity decreases when subjected to constant high temperatures during performance driving. The Exhaust Manifold on B-series engines routes beneath the Oil Pan in very close proximity – this can lead to extreme heat transfer from the exhaust manifold. This is evident when you remove an old Oil Pan and inspect the shallow end of the pan where the exhaust manifold is closest – you will see baked on oil residue on the inside of the pan and this is clear evidence of high heat transfer from the exhaust. Spoon Heat Barrier Tape provides a thermal barrier in between the Exhaust Manifold and the Oil Pan. We recommend application of the Heat Barrier Tape to new Spoon Baffled Oil Pans as the fresh clean surface will provide excellent adhesion when the Oil Pan is new – plus installation Is very easy when the Oil Pan is off the engine. The Heat Barrier Tape can be used on other models and components where you would want to prevent heat transfer from various components into the fluid systems etc. For example Master Brake Cylinder (and Lines), Master Clutch Cylinder (and Lines) Brake Lines, S2000 Heat Shield… In fact, the Spoon S2000 Super Taikyu Race Car uses the heat shield over the entire Firewall through to the whole length of the Transmission Tunnel etc.

The biggest feature of the tenth generation Civic is compatibility of supple suspension feel and sporty handling performance, but in normal condition it is also where we want to stabilize the behavior a little more, such as roll and pitching. Therefore SPOON has developed a genuine shape spring with a normal ratio of about -30mm down and an increased spring rate by ~10%.
As the center of gravity lowers and the spring rate increases, the cornering performance improves dramatically, but since the thrust up feeling in the low speed range is set mildly, you can enjoy both winding and city riding.

6-POT FuLL-MONOCOQUE CALIPER SET FK7, FC2 *NEW*

Approximately one year has elapsed since the tenth generation Civic started to be released. SPOON has repeatedly tested every stage to pursue even higher ranking while taking advantage of the high total balance of Civic, but the most challenging in making a time attack on a circuit run was a car over 1300 kg It was an increase in brake burden due to heaviness. FK7 HATCHBACK / FC1 SEDAN's genuine brake disk size is Φ 282, 23 mm thick, but in the sports run the temperature of the brake disc exceeds 500°C, the same as the race. Therefore, at SPOON, we have newly developed for FK7 / FC1 based on the 6 POT monocoque calipers that had been testing and developing at Super Taikyu Series since 2016. The biggest feature of this "FULL Monoblock Caliper" is its capless design, developed without any compromise in all its structure, performance and durability.

■ Capless Full-Monocoque Body is manufactured with "Angle head processing machine". By adopting this construction method, it became possible to reduce the number of rubber parts, as a result the liquid loss was reduced.
■ The design of a caliper with high rigidity and light weight became possible. We adopted large diameter dust boots for ultra-thin piston and meet the required specifications even in street or circuit use.
■ Uneven Brake Pad wear was suppressed by optimizing Pad surface pressure by different diameter 6 PISTON design of Φ36 / Φ34 / Φ27.
■ 312mm diameter / 25 mm thick reversed ventilated disk is adopted to greatly suppress brake temperature rise and thermal collapse in sports driving. It also drastically improves the judder resistance and made it possible to sustain a stable brake feel even for continuous laps.
■ For the 6-POT CALIPER you must use SPOON BRAKE ROTOR [FRONT] FOR 6-POT [FK7 MT/CVT, FC1] 45251-FK7-000 (Φ312mm/25mm thickness) or compatible Rotor 294-320mm with Max thickness of 26mm.
■ For the 6-POT CALIPER you must use SPOON BRAKE PAD FRONT MB6 *STREET* 45022-MB6-S00 (Street Spec) or SPOON BRAKE PAD FRONT MB6 *CIRCUIT* 45022-MB6-C00

In addition, we pursued the optimal Front and Rear brake balance and also set the following rear pads so we recommend for simultaneous use with the Front 6-Pot Caliper package,.

The biggest weak point of the tenth generation Civic is the weight of the car, especially the weight reduction of the front section not only alleviates the burden of braking but also the quick turning ability and the good handling characteristics indispensable for sports driving are demonstrated.
The characteristics of the successive SPOON carbon bonnet keeps the genuine body shape, the design is simple.
However, the calorific value of the turbo engine adopted from this tenth generation Civic was excessive, and it was necessary to reduce the heat inside the engine room as much as possible.
Therefore, the bonnet for FK7 is not only lightweight, but also has an air outlet inside the hood to finish it in a shape that allows the hot air in the engine room peculiar to the turbo engine to escape.
By providing an air outlet of the engine room, we will maximize the cooling performance of the radiator and intercooler.
